Made In USA. Melling offers a timing chain damper adapter bracket for the early GM LS engines. The adapter bracket is available by itself and is also available with the timing chain damper. The timing chain damper adapter bracket allows the use of LS2 timing chain dampers on any GM LS engine block. The bracket uses the 3 lower cam/thrust retainer plate bolts for attachment. Timing chain dampers provide a small amount tension on the timing chain to keep it from “whipping” during gear changes. The dampers are manufactured from OE-quality plastic and include mounting bolts.
