The Engine Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor determines the exact temperature of the cylinder head by sending an analog signal to the ECM to calculate timing and fuel delivery for maximum engine performance, efficiency and engine operating temperature. The Engine Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor is located on the cylinder head. Reasons for replacement include: check engine light illumination, erratic or no temperature gauge operation, erratic or no cooling fan operation, and engine overheating.
